21.FREE MEALS FROM INSTITUT DARUL RIDZUAN

For the second successive Wednesday the distribution of free food to the street people, the homeless and travellers, under the Keledang Club's Soup Kitchen programme was done at the Paloh Mosque at Jalan Bendahara, Ipoh, Perak.

The queue started as early as 4.30 p.m but distribution was done at 5.00 p.m after the 'Asr prayers.

The Darul Ridzuan Institute, the Perak Government think tank came in as the sponsor this week. Headed by Encik Aminuddin, its Chief Executive, a total of 250 packs of tomato rice and spiced chicken plus bottled drinks were distributed to the needy. This is the first time ever a government body joined in the programme.

Keledang Club would like to record its appreciation to IDR and the state government for its generosity to provide free food.

Free basic medical check-ups were provided too.

Hopefully more organisations would come forward, join us and participate in this noble programme.
