93. TONITE'S THE NITE...

Finally the moment that every Keledang family members is waiting for has arrived.

Yezzar, Tonite is THE night, THE KELEDANG CLUB PRESIDENT'S INSTALLATION NITE. It is the main event in the calendar of the Keledang Club every end of the year.

The Keledang members, the Keledang ladies and of course the kids will showcase their 'bakat' in front of Tuanku Raja Muda Perak and his consort, the Raja Puan Besar Perak. 

Hours of training and rehearsals by all to perfect the show will indeed be at test tonite. The kids are just raring to go from the first whistle! 

We are expecting excellent show as usual in front of full capacity crowd at the Royal Perak Golf Club, Jalan Raja Azlan Shah, Ipoh.

The Menteri Besar of Perak, Dato Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir and his wife, Datin Seri Sharifah  too will be present.

For those who have booked their seats, please BE THERE early to take up your places. The event will commences at 8.00 pm sharp. 

There will be lots of surprises, so sit back, relax and enjoy the evening...

92.SELAMAT ULANGTAHUN KELAHIRAN PAK SAKO...

KBGK mengucapkan SELAMAT ULANGTAHUN KELAHIRAN kepada Sdr Dato' Hj Ishak Hj Mohamad dan Datin Hjh Maznah ( isteri kpd Dato' Hj Mohamad Hamzah) .

Semoga dianugerahkan kesihatan yang baik, rezeki yang bertambah, keluarga yang bahagia, aman tenteram dan amalan ditingkatkan.

Satu Ilham mula terfikir

Bersama kawan berpakat pakat

Empat Disember Pak Sako dan Datin Maznah dilahir

Untuk berbakti kepada masyarakat

91.KEEP ON PRACTISING AND KEEP ON ROLLING...

It's the final countdown. Just a matter of another nine days to the real event...

The Keledang kids and the ladies are  furiously practising day and night to perfect their shows for THE NIGHT. 

Not to be outdone, the men too are having their practices till late at night at their secret hideout!

News leaked out that some of the senior men are losing their voices such that when given the microphone, nothing seemed to come out from the mouth. Don't really know whether the silence is due to nervousness or problem with remembering the lyrics...

Several attempts to get some shots for the blog were unsuccessful. Such was the  intensity of the those practices which are fiercely guided...

No matter, I wish everybody well and keep on practising.

The Keledangs always pulled their acts together and display their best shows in front of Tuanku Raja Muda and the audience on the President Installation Night.

90. POINT TO PONDER

While reading 'The Ideal Muslim' by Dr Muhammad Ali Al-Hashimi, I came across this beautiful summation on page 171 of the book. Just like to share for us to ponder. 

The extracts are as follows:

Among the good manners of a true Muslim are: he does not exhaust his brothers and friends with futile arguments, he does not annoy them with hurtful jokes, and he does not break a promise that he has made to them. In this way, he follows the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w:

"Do not argue with your brother, do not joke excessively with him, do not make a promise to him then break it." (Reported by Imam Bukhari in Al-Adab Al- Mufrad)

87. SUMBANGAN UNTUK MANGSA BANJIR KEDAH/PERLIS

Awal November 2010, sebahagian besar negeri Perlis dan Daerah Kubang Pasu serta Daerah Kota Setar, Kedah dilanda banjir yang teruk menenggelamkan banyak kawasan sawah padi. Rumah-rumah kediaman dimasuki air antara tiga hingga lima kaki. Ramai penduduk yang terpaksa berpindah ke pusat perlindungan sementara. 

Banjir kali ini adalah yang terburuk sejak 2005.

Antara NGO yang aktif membantu mangsa-mangsa banjir ialah Kelab Rekreasi Langkawi yang telah mengambil inisiatif bersama beberapa lagi NGO Kedah menubuhkan Tabung Bantuan Mangsa Banjir negeri Kedah/ Perlis.

Atas rasa simpati dan prihatin terhadap kesengsaraan mangsa-mangsa banjir di Kedah/ Perlis, kutipan telah dibuat di kalangan ahli-ahli Kelab Bakti Gunung Keledang menghasilkan satu jumlah yang agak besar. 

Pada Malam Mesra Rabu lalu, sdr Dr Hj Zakaria, Presiden kelab telah menyampaikan cek sumbangan Yayasan Bakti Gunung Keledang bernilai M15,000 kepada Dato' Mansor bin Ismail, mantan Pegawai Daerah Langkawi yang juga Presiden Kelab Rekreasi Langkawi sebagai bantuan daripada ahli-ahli kelab kepada mangsa-mangsa banjir.

Semoga sumbangan daripada kelab dan yayasan dapat membantu meringankan beban bahana banjir.
